Dr. Farag is Head of the AGAI Group at Carnegie Mellon University, with over a decade of experience in big data, cloud computing, generative AI, and machine learning. He has held both technical and leadership roles in academic and professional domains and is the founder of Analytics 4 Everyone. Dr. Farag has contributed to several academic and professional communities, including the National Science Foundation, Harvard Business Review, the Project Management Institute, and the IEEE Systems Journal. He has received multiple awards and recognitions throughout his career.

Master’s student in the Information Networking Institute at Carnegie Mellon University, with a research focus on Systems and AI. During his undergraduate career at UW-Madison, Andrew wrote his Senior Honors Thesis on disk-based caching in AWS. Through his graduate studies, he aims to continue his research in the area of cloud computing and its intersection with machine learning.
