How can we use games to engage people at events, museums or a generic public locations?
Gamification in traditional spaces and events can educate attendants and boost engagement while establishing interpersonal connection. To connect with people and world around them, Project Seeker users join an interactive scavenger hunt that guides them through their surroundings.
The student team developed an iOS and Android app for a location-based scavenger hunt, which is played by checking in at various locations with a QR code scan.
Users sign in with their Google account then select their preferred hunt. Users are challenged to decode clues and unlock hidden locations where they can connect with other players and engage with the location or activity.
