Morphogenic Governing Equations

Developing morphogenetic governing equations will be a critical addition to the battery community and will be used in the free energy functional for Phase Field simulations and then homogenized in battery models.

Synthesis of Morphogenic Materials

We will utilize novel characterization techniques to synthesize morphogenic materials.

End-to-end Differentiable Simulations

We will create and end-to-end simulation framework that ties together electronic, atomic scale, morphological, and device scale properties using Density Functional Theory (DFT), Molecular Dynamics (MD), Phase Field, and Battery Models.

Experimental Characterization

We will use a variety of experimental characterization tools including X-ray diffraction, X-ray Tomography, Optical Cells to study battery materials and their interfaces from 1nm to 1mm.
