I joined Carnegie Mellon University's Second Language Acquisition Ph.D. program in the fall of 2017 to further develop my skills as both a teacher and researcher. In the past, I worked as a volunteer coordinator with a program for immigrant youth in Atlanta; an English instructor in Colombia, Brazil and France; and a Spanish and French teacher at independent schools in Texas and Ohio. I am interested in identity construction in the classroom, especially in multilingual and multicultural settings.
