Congratulations to Our Newly Certified Professionals!

In the last quarter of 2022, two members of our inaugural International Association of Accessibility Professions (IAAP) cohort passed their Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competency (CPACC) exams joining a community of 3,192 CPACCs worldwide.

Please join us in congratulating Matthew Mroz, Technical Writer and Content Strategist, Office of Human Resources, and Kimberly Norris, Digital Accessibility Coordinator, Digital Accessibility Office, on this accomplishment.

The CPACC program aspires to:

  • Define what accessibility professionals are expected to know.
  • Increase the quality and consistency of the work performed by accessibility professionals.
  • Provide accessibility professionals with a credential as evidence of their commitment to the accessibility field and their competence within the field.
  • Provide employers, the accessibility community, and the public with a metric to measure and assess the accessibility competence of current and prospective employees.
  • Offer colleges, universities, and vocational programs clear educational outcomes and a curriculum outline for teaching accessibility.
  • Strengthen the community of practice among accessibility professionals.
