Bio

Abisai Labra has just completed his first year where his passion for software engineering continues to grow. Through his first year of completing studies in the School of Computer Science, he has found several different interests including Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, and Innovation in Entrepreneurship. In high school, he was exposed to programming for the first time and went on to compete in various competitions in the regional and state level. From this experience, he gained a newfound drive to keep gaining knowledge at one of the best institutions there is.

His curiosity never settled even after his first semester at CMU, so he decided to explore new ideas and interests. He joined CMU's professional business fraternity where he found a community that supported him and helped fine tune his professional skills. He gained key knowledge such as professional deck designs, interview preps, and presentation development that would prove useful in future jobs. Abisai plans pursue a career in software engineering and to one day build his own company. While he is not busy with schoolwork, Abisai enjoys playing volleyball with CMU's rec club and eating out with friends.
