Carnegie Mellon University

The intersection of science, technology and art

It is rising at the intersection of Forbes Avenue and Craig Street, and it will be the science, technology, art and community intersect at Carnegie Mellon University.

exterior-rendering-900x600.jpgThe under-construction Richard King Mellon Hall of Sciences will house departments, students and faculty of the Mellon College of Science, the School of Computer Science and the Institute for Contemporary Art, and was made possible by a $75 million lead gift from the Richard King Mellon Foundation.

Slated to open in 2027, it will be a next-generation home for revolutionary collaboration that will help CMU advance a new era of data-driven research, creative expression and cross-disciplinary education while removing barriers between the university and its surrounding communities.
