SUMMIT

SUMMIT

Looking for a fun way to start your spring semester?

You have come to the right place.

What is Summit?

Glass Blowing? Balloon Animal Making? Archery?

Summit can provide you with the opportunity to try some activities outside your typical CMU schedule, and takes place right before spring semester, kickstarting the new semester with fun!

The Experience

When you return to campus on the 12th, there will be a dinner and casual late night activity welcoming you! The following two mornings, you will have the chance to try out different activities in the area and take workshops taught by other members of the community on campus.

Activities

Glass blowing, archery, firearm safety, pottery painting, balloon animal making and more! Check out our courses page to see previous classes.

Food, Housing and Costs

Summit offers a great opportunity to experience new activities, meet others, and spend more time with your friends before classes begin.

Unfortunately Summit is not free, but the $40 registration fee is used to provide the six meals offered during Summit (past meals have been catered by Mad Mex, Yinzburgh BBQ, Curry on Murray, and other local Pittsburgh restaurants!)

According to CMU Housing Services, on-campus housing re-opens on January 12th at 12pm, and you will be able to move in afterwards.

Important Registration Information

This year, Summit will be limited to only 75 participants so register today to reserve your space! After 75 participants have registered, any additional registrations will be notified and placed on a wait list.

The $40 registration fee for Summit 2018 is billed through CarnegieMellonTickets.com and is primarily used to cover the cost of the six meals provided to participants from Friday Dinner to Sunday Lunch. Please take note of the dates and make travel plans in order to arrive on campus on Friday, January 12th!
