University Health Services Re-accredited; Flu Shot Clinics To Begin in September

The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, Inc. (AAAHC) has awarded University Health Services (UHS) a three-year term of accreditation, the longest period awarded by the association. UHS has been accredited by AAAHC since 1997. The letter from AAAHC notes that  “the dedication and effort necessary for an organization to be accredited is substantial and the compliance with AAAHC standards  implies a commitment to continual self-evaluation and continuous improvement.”

UHS will begin flu shot clinics in September. Once again, Human Resources will cover the cost for employees and Highmark will cover the cost for students enrolled in the student insurance plan. Dates, times and locations will be announced in this newsletter and will be available on the UHS website at www.cmu.edu/health-services.
