Financial Planning Seminar for Graduate Students

Personal financial wellness is more than just being able to balance a checkbook, compare prices or get a job. It also includes skills like long-term vision and planning for the future, and the discipline to use those skills every day.

To mark the beginning of Financial Literacy Month and the week of April 1 as Graduate Student Appreciation Week at CMU, alumnus Gene Natali Jr. will share strategies to help graduate students reinforce current financial management skills, learn new skills and identify resources to help build a financial literacy foundation on topics such as, investing, budgeting, and building credit. The seminar takes place from noon to 1:30 p.m., April 3 in Rangos Hall, Cohon University Center.

Natali is a senior vice president at C.S. McKee, L.P., a Pittsburgh-based institutional investment firm. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and serves on the board of directors for the CFA Society of Pittsburgh. He holds an MBA with a concentration in finance from Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Allegheny College. He also serves as a part-time lecturer for the University of Pittsburgh's College of Business Administration and co-authored an award-winning financial guide, The Missing Semester.

Following Natali's presentation, staff members from the Student Financial Aid Office and The HUB  will be available to answer questions or speak individually with students.
