2024 Tony Award Nominees
Nominations for the 2024 Tony Awards were announced on CBS Mornings on April 30, and six Carnegie Mellon University alumni have been nominated for 11 Tony Awards. This marks 15 consecutive years in which Carnegie Mellon alumni have earned Tony nominations.

Will Brill appears in the Broadway production of “Stereophonic,” having also been part of the play’s run at Playwrights Horizons. Previous Broadway credits include: "Act One," "You Can't Take It with You" and the reimagined 75th-anniversary revival of "Oklahoma!." Brill’s television credits include “The OA,” “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” and Showtime’s acclaimed political thriller/love story, “Fellow Travelers,” in which he portrays the infamous lawyer Roy Cohn.

Jamie deRoy is a show business tour de force — an award-winning producer; cabaret, stage, film and TV performer; recording artist/producer and humanitarian. In addition to twelve Tony Awards, Jamie has won nine MAC Awards, nine Drama Desk awards, two Audience Choice Awards, 10 Drama League Awards, three GLAAD Awards, four BackStage Bistro Awards, numerous Telly Awards and CaB Magazine’s Lifetime Achievement Award. She has been honored by Theatre Works/USA, Primary Stages and the Ruth Kurtzman MAC Award. A frequent presence on the New York nightclub scene, Jamie has produced nine CDs in the Jamie deRoy & friends series on Harbinger and PS Classics labels. Her long-running shows benefit her favorite charitable causes, including “The Actors Fund: Jamie deRoy & friends Cabaret Initiative,” a program to assist people in the cabaret industry with help for medical needs and concerns. Joshua Harmon's plays include “Bad Jews,” “Significant Other,” “Admissions,” “Skintight” and “Prayer for the French Republic.” He and Sarah Silverman co-wrote the libretto for “The Bedwetter” based on her memoir. His plays have been produced on Broadway and the West End; off-Broadway at Roundabout Theatre Company, Lincoln Center Theater, Manhattan Theater Club and Atlantic Theater Company; across the country at Geffen Playhouse, Speakeasy, Studio Theatre, Theater Wit, About Face, Actor's Express and The Magic, among others; and internationally in a dozen countries. He is a two-time MacDowell fellow, a 2024 Guggenheim fellow and an Associate Artist at Roundabout.

Leslie Odom, Jr. is a multifaceted talent known for his skills as an actor, singer and songwriter. His journey in the entertainment industry began early with a notable Broadway debut in the cast of "Rent." However, it was his portrayal of Aaron Burr in the groundbreaking musical "Hamilton" that catapulted him to global fame. This role not only earned him a Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical but also a Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album in the same year. This performance was immortalized in the Disney+ live stage recording of "Hamilton," leading to a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Actor in a Leading Role in a Limited Series or Movie. In addition to his stage successes, Odom has left his mark on television and film. His most recent notable roles include appearances "Murder on the Orient Express" (2017), "Harriet" (2019), "The Many Saints of Newark" (2021), "Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery" (2022) and "The Exorcist: Believer" (2023). His portrayal of singer Sam Cooke in "One Night in Miami..." (2020) garnered critical acclaim and multiple award nominations, including for the Academy Award, BAFTA Award, Screen Actors Guild Award and Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor. Additionally, he received nominations for the Oscar and Golden Globe for writing the film's original song "Speak Now." Odom's talents extend to the realm of music, where he has released five original albums. He is also the author of his autobiography "Failing Up," published in 2018.

She can also be seen in Amazon Prime series “The Wilds.” Up next, Pidgeon is next set to star in independent thriller “Lazareth.”
