AI Technicians

The AI Technicians program at Carnegie Mellon University offers an intensive 8-month workforce training solution that bridges the critical gap between AI scientists and end users. Using immersive project-based learning, our program develops technical professionals who can drive the full AI cycle from problem understanding to deployment and maintenance.

The curriculum features two concurrent tracks in cloud computing and data science, delivering university-quality education in a fraction of the time of traditional degree programs while including valuable industry certifications.

AI technicians tracks

With a proven five-year track record supporting the Army's Artificial Intelligence Integration Center (AI2C), our program boasts achievement of 83 military personnel (warrant officers, officers, and NCOs) who have successfully completed rigorous, full-time training, then transitioned into productive roles. Our research demonstrates superior knowledge retention compared to traditional classroom methods, and our capstone projects provide a structured bridge between training and workplace integration.
