In accordance with agreements made during the sixth meeting of the U.S.-Korea Joint Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation in Seoul on October 30-31, 2002, U.S.-Korea Nanoforum is being held annually since 2003 for developing nanoscience and nanotechnology. Most recently in 2008, 37 researchers from Korea and the United States gathered at Jeju, Korea, to build up a collaborative network among research communities and government agencies of both sides as well as to exchange information and find opportunities for cooperation in the nanotechnology arena.

Under the auspices of National Science Foundation (NSF) of USA and the Ministry of Education, Science & Technology (MEST) of Korea and also with efforts from Carnegie Mellon University, Korea Institute of Science & Technology Information (KISTI), The Korea-US Science Cooperation Center(KUSCO), and Korea Technology Research Society (KoNTRS), this U.S.-Korea. Nanoforum is marking its 6th anniversary on April 28, 2009 at Monte Carlo Hotel, Las Vegas, USA about 31 scientific lectures will be given on the emerging area of Nanoelectronics & its Integration with Applications (CMOS, Nano-Electronics and CMOS Fusion Tech).

We believe that this 6th U.S.-Korea Nanoforum will provide you with a great opportunity to accelerate the exchange of information on recent research achievements and trends of nanoscience and nanotechnology both in the United States and Korea. On behalf of all advisory committee members in the United States and Korea, we deeply appreciate all participants and speakers for their support and cooperation for the success of this forum.
