Dear Members of the Carnegie Mellon University Community:
Today, Carnegie Mellon University is extremely pleased to announce a $35 million gift from Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). The contribution will fully fund construction of a new building along Forbes Avenue, and support the Presidential Fellowships and Scholarships program.
This is the largest corporate contribution in CMU history, the fifth largest gift to the university and the largest gift to CMU from outside the United States.
TCS, a leading global IT services organization based in Mumbai, India, is making this historic gift to advance research and education at Carnegie Mellon.
This partnership will play an important role in improving our ability to meet the needs of students, faculty and staff in an increasingly global environment.
