Bio
Thomas Goff joined the Investment Office of Carnegie Mellon University in 2018 to focus on operations best practices, analytical functions and staff development.
Prior to joining the university, Goff was managing director with The Hillman Company, a prominent Pittsburgh-based single family office and investment holding company. Over a nearly 34-year career at Hillman, he worked on investment strategy; asset allocation and portfolio management; investment manager sourcing, due diligence and monitoring; performance and risk analysis; and accounting and tax planning and control, with particular emphasis on “alternative” investments. Goff began his career at Deloitte Haskins & Sells (now Deloitte) gaining experience with multinational clients in both audit and tax practice areas and earning his CPA.
Goff earned his M.S. in accounting and B.S. in economics from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
