Bio

Erik Ogren joined the Investment Office of Carnegie Mellon University in 2016 and is managing director.

Prior to joining the university, Ogren worked at Cliffwater LLC, where he was head of European Private Equity Investments for a $12 billion private equity portfolio of advisory assets (discretionary and non-discretionary). Before joining Cliffwater, he worked at the non-discretionary private equity advisory firm LP Capital Advisors, where he led due diligence on fund and direct investment opportunities as well as advised clients on secondary portfolio sales and strategic allocation. Ogren gained experience in technology sector M&A, structured finance and securitization strategy consulting at  Bank of America Merrill Lynch, ACC Capital Holdings (acquired by Citigroup) and Deloitte, respectively.

Ogren earned his MBA from UC Berkeley and his B.S. from UC San Diego. He is a CFA charter holder and is bilingual in Japanese.
