Bio

Charles Kennedy joined the Investment Office of Carnegie Mellon University in 2007 and was promoted to lead the team in 2010.

Immediately prior to joining the university, Kennedy served as a member of the Finance faculty at the University of Pittsburgh Katz Graduate School of Business, where he was named “Teacher of the Year.” Prior to teaching, Kennedy worked as an investment banker with Dain Rauscher Wessels, completing numerous successful IPOs and M&A transactions, leading to the firm’s transition to a leading boutique bank and its subsequent successful sale. 

Kennedy also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Duquesne University and served as the inaugural chair of the TIAA-Nuveen Investment Advisory Council. 

Kennedy earned his MBA from Harvard Business School and his B.S. in business administration from Duquesne University.
