Through the MSAIE-IS you develop a foundation in information security and learn to apply AI to the design and implementation of information security systems, including networks, software and services.

M.S. in Information Technology – Information Security (MSIT-IS)

Integrate security and business through a bicoastal experience

MSIT-IS is a bicoastal program, where students experience both the Carnegie Mellon Pittsburgh and Silicon Valley locations. It integrates information security principles and knowledge with the skills to evaluate and implement them in the business context.

Funding Your Degree

We know the cost of tuition can be a barrier. We provide select departmental funding and qualify for two competitive federal scholarships.

CyberCorps Scholarship for Service

This is a highly competitive federal scholarship that provides full tuition and a stipend throughout your master’s program. After graduating, you serve in the federal government for at least a period equivalent to the length of your scholarship.

Department of War Cyber Service Academy

This is a highly competitive federal scholarship that provides full tuition scholarship and a stipend throughout your master’s program. If you are accepted by the DoW CSA you commit to working for a federal government agency after graduation.

INI Scholarships

We are able to provide select funding based on merit — just complete the Request for Funding Assistance form in your application. Admissions decisions do not take funding need into consideration.
