If you missed out on reserving a seat for the Investiture Ceremony, fear not! The watch party will provide an opportunity for guests to stop by for a short time or stay to watch the ceremony in its entirety. Enjoy free breakfast, prize drawings and fun activities.
Investiture Ceremony
10 - 11:30 a.m.
Wiegand Gym, Cohon University Center
President Jahanian will be formally installed as the president of Carnegie Mellon University and will share his vision for the university. The ceremony will include remarks from:
- James E. Rohr, chair, CMU Board of Trustees
- Marlene Behrmann, Thomas S. Baker University Professor of Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience
- Martha Pollack, president, Cornell University
- Keith Block, co-CEO, Salesforce
- And performances by College of Fine Arts alumni Corey Cott, actor, and Tamara Tunie, actor, director and producer.
Registration is required and seating is limited.
Inauguration Picnic
12 - 1:30 p.m.
Tent on the CFA Lawn
Continue the celebration and join the CMU community at a campus-wide picnic. Stay for an hour and enjoy the scene, or just pass through and grab lunch on your way to the Inauguration Symposium. Student performances and fun activities inside and outside the tent include:

- Tartan Tuba Band

- Magicians @ CMU
- Cornhole and lawn games courtesy of CMU Athletics
