The individuals, institutions, and roles at the launch of OFAI include:
Carnegie Mellon University
- Sayeed Choudhury, Associate Dean for Digital Infrastructure and Director of the Open Source Programs Office (OSPO), will act as Executive Director of OFAI. Choudhury has been appointed to the Open Source Initiative (OSI) Board and the OSI AI committee. He is also a member of the Human AI Collective Advisory Board - BGV & EAIGG
- Hoda Heidari, K&L Gates Career Development Assistant Professor in Ethics and Computational Technologies. Heidari has joint appointments in the Machine Learning Department and Software and Society Systems. She is also affiliated with Human-Computer Interaction Institute, Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy. She is the co-lead for the CMU university wide Responsible AI Initiative.
