Chief Development Officer, Pittsburgh Regional Transit (MSPPM 2013)

Amy Silbermann is the Chief Development Officer for Pittsburgh Regional Transit (formerly Port Authority of Allegheny County), where she oversees the Planning & Service Development, Transit Amenities, Engineering, and Transit Scheduling Departments. Amy began her work at PRT in 2013 as a data analyst in the Scheduling Department and worked to reestablish and grow the Planning functions within the agency. Prior to joining PRT, she taught high school sciences in Washington, DC public schools for 3 years and completed a Teach for America assignment there. Amy has a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Environmental Studies from Denison University, a Master of Arts in Teaching from American University, and a Master of Science in Public Policy and Management from the Heinz College at Carnegie Mellon University, which was what brought her to the Pittsburgh area in 2011. Amy is a certified planner with the American Institute of Certified Planners.
