The CoAx Lab shares and abides by the community standards of the CMU Psychology Department . In addition, we uphold these values:

• Diversity: Science is an exploratory process that requires a diversity of perspectives and ideas. The more diversified the team, the more effective the science. Therefore we commit to valuing, upholding, and encouraging diversity of individuals and being effective allies in increasing the inclusivity of science as a field.

• Community: Science is a collaborative process that requires a healthy community of researchers. Within our lab we commit to making an environment of openness and mutual respect that strengthens connections between team members and prioritizes the wellbeing and growth of the individual as a whole. Outside the lab we commit to always making our work broadly accessible, through the sharing of all aspects of our work.

• Justice: Science should strive to improve society. We commit to applying our work in ways that foster positive social change. This includes actively standing up for justice and fairness when interacting with others, both in the lab and society at large.

• Wellbeing: Science is a human endeavour that is only as healthy as those doing the work. The work we do in the lab does not define our self worth. Therefore we commit to prioritizing the physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing of the individual.

El Laboratorio CoAx comparte y se guía por las normas comunitarias del departamento de Psicología de CMU . Adicionalmente, apoyamos y promovemos los siguientes valores:

• Diversidad: La ciencia es un proceso exploratorio que requiere diversidad de perspectivas y ideas. Creemos que cuanto más diverso es el equipo, más efectiva es la ciencia. Por consiguiente, nos comprometemos a valorar, apoyar y promocionar la diversidad de individuos y a aunar efectivos para el aumento de la diversidad dentro de la ciencia.

• Comunidad: La ciencia es un proceso colaborativo que requiere una comunidad sana de investigadores. Dentro del laboratorio nos comprometemos a crear un ambiente de sinceridad y respeto mutuo que fortalezca las conexiones entre los miembros del equipo y priorice el bienestar y desarrollo personal del conjunto. Asimismo, nos comprometemos a hacer nuestro trabajo ampliamente accesible fuera del laboratorio, a través de compartir todos los aspectos de nuestro trabajo.

• Justicia: La ciencia debería intentar mejorar a la sociedad. Nos comprometemos a aplicar nuestro trabajo de manera que promueve el cambio social. Esto incluye resguardar la justicia y equidad al interactuar con los demás, tanto en el laboratorio como la sociedad en general.

• Bienestar: La ciencia es un proyecto humano que es tan sana como los que haga el trabajo. El trabajo que hacemos en el laboratorio no define nuestro autoestima. Por consiguiente, nos comprometemos a priorizar el bienestar físico, mental, y emocional del individuo.
