What is fMRI?

  • fMRI is a brain imaging technique that allows researchers to see into the human brain from outside the body
  • Children play computer games, watch movies, or both while fMRI images are taken

What is it Like to Participate in a Kid NeuroLab Study?

 

Requirements

  • Children ages 3-11
  • No neurological disorders or medications

Participants receive

  • $25/hour (usually $50 per experiment)
  • Toys as prizes and thank you gifts
  • An "I Saw My Brain!" t-shirt
  • A picture of his or her brain

Location
