Innovation at the Intersections
The 2nd Pittsburgh Biomolecular Condensates Conference brings together scientists, early-career researchers, and students to explore the latest advances in the study of biomolecular condensates. This interdisciplinary meeting will highlight cutting-edge research on the formation, regulation, and functional roles of condensates in cellular organization, physiology, and disease.
The program will feature a diverse lineup of speakers who will discuss the biochemical, biophysical, and cellular principles governing condensate assembly, dynamics, and disassembly. Sessions will cover topics such as:
- Phase separation mechanisms and material properties of condensates
- The role of condensates in cellular organization, signaling, and stress responses
- Dysregulation of condensates in neurodegeneration, cancer, and other diseases
- Emerging tools and technologies to probe condensate biology
A key component of the conference will be a panel discussion on the current state and future directions of condensate research, fostering dialogue on open questions, challenges, and opportunities in the field. By uniting researchers from different disciplines—including cell biology, biophysics, biochemistry, and medicine—this meeting aims to catalyze new collaborations and innovative approaches to understanding biomolecular condensates.
Join us at Carnegie Mellon University for an engaging and dynamic exchange of ideas on condensate research!
