Your Email Password/Security

To ensure the security of your email account, be sure that your email password is NOT saved within your client.  Follow these steps:

  1. Launch Outlook. 
  2. Select File > Account Settings > Account Settings. Select your email account and click Change. Under Login Information, do one of the following:
    • If the Remember Password checkbox is NOT checked, you're fine. Outlook will prompt for your password each time that you launch the program.
    • If the Remember Password checkbox IS checked, de-select it. Close Outlook and re-launch the program. You should be prompted for your password.
