"It's My River," is a discussion on citizen river access, riverfront usage and riverfront development for community improvement. International experts will cover issues related to waterfronts and new uses for urban industrial land. The lead experts and keynote speakers are Malcolm Barton, MBE, Director of the Groundwork Trust in the UK, and Andy Willner of N.Y./N.J. Baykeeper. A luncheon and an afternoon discussion session lead by experts from the National Park Service complete the program.

The River Dialogues discuss the results of 3 Rivers - 2nd Nature's fieldwork. They reveal the value of this research to citizens seeking a future for post-industrial waterfronts. 3 Rivers - 2nd Nature is the second of two ecological-arts projects within the STUDIO for Creative Inquiry at Carnegie Mellon University. It is a five-year project focusing on the three rivers and fifty-three streams of Allegheny County. The interdisciplinary team of artists, scientists and policy experts collaborate on an innovative study of the green and blue infrastructure affecting the region's river systems. Their work addresses water quality, riverbanks and botany, public access and use and stream restoration. They produce strategic knowledge and a public platform for creative discourse on Allegheny County's riverfronts by exposing urban dwellers to the natural and cultural of post-industrial environments.

The Pittsburgh Foundation and the Heinz Endowments fund 3 Rivers - 2nd Nature.
