The Red Team's Sandstorm (left) and H1ghlander (right) will be featured in a new NOVA documentary premiering March 28.

The Red Team will screen a 15-minute preview of NOVA's "The Great Robot Race" in the team's soon-to-be-demolished headquarters, the Planetary Robotics Building, at 6 p.m., Tuesday, March 21. The event will also feature remarks by Red Team leader and Fredkin Professor of Robotics William L. "Red" Whittaker regarding plans to develop "Robot City" on portions of the old LTV site in Hazelwood.

NOVA's "The Great Robot Race" chronicles last year's 130-mile DARPA Grand Challenge race and features the exploits of the Red Team as members prepared their two vehicles, Sandstorm and H1ghlander, for the challenge. The PBS program, narrated by John Lithgow, will air at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 28 on WQED. Further information about the program and the teams is available at http://www.pbs.org/nova/darpa.
