Heinz School Australia to Cheer for Steelers in Super Bowl XL

Faculty, staff and students at Carnegie Mellon in Qatar will also be cheering for the Steelers in Super Bowl XL.

Faculty and staff from Carnegie Mellon University's H. John Heinz III School of Public Policy and Management branch in Adelaide, Australia, have plans for Super Bowl XL and they're not going to let the time difference stop them.

They plan to gather at the Grandstand Bar in the Sky City Casino on North Terrace to watch the game broadcast live on ABC. While their counterparts in Pittsburgh drink beer and eat nachos, the Adelaide group will drink coffee and eat breakfast—kickoff is at 9:30 a.m. Australia time.

Carnegie Mellon's die-hard Steelers fans hope to assemble a big crowd for the game.

"We are excited about the level of interest in our home team playing in the championship. It's great that our new Australian Pittsburghers are showing such support. We're looking forward to a lot of fun and a resounding Pittsburgh victory," says Brenda Peyser, associate dean and executive director of Carnegie Mellon's Heinz School in Adelaide.
