Still Time to Participate in the United Way Campaign

There's still time to participate in Carnegie Mellon's United Way Campaign which runs through Nov. 22. The goal this year is to increase participation by 20%. Several exciting incentives, including the chance to win a $250 American Express Gift Card, are being offered this year to encourage your involvement in the campaign.

This year donors are able to designate funds to the flood victims in our area through the United Way of Allegheny County Flood Relief Fund. These donations are not subject to any service charges, so 100% of the gift will go directly to help those in our region devastated by the recent floods.

"United Way is the most efficient community fund-raiser in our region and nationally," says Assistant Vice President for Human Resources Barbara Smith, this year's campaign chair. "When you give to the United Way Impact Fund, your gift is allocated to 71 local partner agencies which have proven to be well-run and effective at measurably impacting the most pressing needs in our region.

"No amount is too small and your participation in this campaign matters! I urge you to help us reach our participation goal."
