Drama's Final Friday Cabaret Presents Music of NY Songwriters

The School of Drama's next installment in its popular Final Fridays Cabaret Series will take place at 11 p.m., Friday, Feb. 27 in the Wells Studio Theater in the Purnell Center for the Arts.

February's cabaret features the vocal talents of the Junior Musical Theater Majors presenting the music of obscure and sometimes unpublished contemporary New York songwriters such as Brad Ross, Steven Lutvak, Peter Mills, Alumnus Ricky Ian Gordon, Francesca Blumenthal, the songwriting team of Marcy Heissler and Zina Goldrich, Tom Anderson, John Bucchino, and Jeannie Tessori and Jeff Blumenkrantz, the dynamic duo behind the Broadway hit, "Thoroughly Modern Millie."

The New Composers is an annual event, inspired by Elizabeth Bradley, Head of Drama, and presented under the leadership of Gary Kline. It promises many Pittsburgh Premieres of a variety of exciting material.

Tickets go on sale at 12 p.m. on the day of the show at the School of Drama's Box Office. Please call 412-268-2407 for more information.
