A sequence of images of a 0.5 cmc E1 fingering event. Note that the fingers in the region indicated in the first image all grow paraller to each other without merging or running into each other. Note also that other branches formed during the fingering process pinch off and autophobe into droplets. All times are in seconds. The scale bar in the first image indicates 1 mm.
