Tepper Quad: Open for business

Carnegie Mellon Trustee and alumnus David A. Tepper 's $67 million gift funded the construction of David A. Tepper Quadrangle, which would serve as the new home of the Tepper School of Business and the gateway to CMU’s Pittsburgh campus, with its new Coulter Welcome Center.

The award-winning building, which opened in 2018, serves as a central hub of campus and fosters the interdisciplinary collaboration for which CMU is renowned.

Tepper’s gift, the largest by a CMU graduate in the university’s history, followed his $55 million investment in 2004 to rename the school, formerly known as the Graduate School of Industrial Administration (GSIA).
