Student Life - Carnegie Mellon Silicon Valley - Carnegie Mellon University

Student Life

Carnegie Mellon Silicon Valley has a great deal to offer both prospective and current students. The Student Affairs Office seeks to enhance the academic and social experience of all students by serving as a resource and advocate on a variety of important matters such as enrollment and course registration, student accounts, international student services, involvement with local professional and networking associations, and other related activities. The office also guides students toward information and resources pertaining to technology, bicoastal programs, and health and wellness issues. Information on community and social events, including tours of Silicon Valley and excursions to nearby San Francisco, is also available.

The Student Affairs Office also organizes and hosts major on-campus events such as Orientation, The Gathering, and Graduation. In addition, the office facilitates student performance reviews, course surveys, and participates in the 'Improve the Student Experience' task force.

The Student Affairs Office is open from 10:30 am to 6:30 pm, Monday through Thursday and 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on Friday to accommodate the busy schedules of both our full-time and part-time working students. Feel free to contact Gerry Elizondo, Director of Student Affairs, at (650) 335-2846 or gerry.elizondo@sv.cmu.edu if you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions.
