96-814 Design, Construcrtion and Operation of a Mobile EOC
In this course students will apply their knowledge of disaster management and modern telecommunications to develop specifications for a mobile Emergency Operations Center for a small community and will design and conduct a simulated exercise of their design. The emphasis will be on designing a capability that is useful, rapidly deployable and maintainable in a hypothetical mid-sized Turkish town or community. The last two weeks of the course will involve a study in the student's home country of the applicability of the learned techniques, and a final presentation at a technology showcase.
