Bio

Malcolm (Yi) Shi graduated from Boston College with Magna Cum Laude, studying Economics and Mathematics. Prior to joining MSCF, he interned at Nomura (New York) and JP Morgan (Hong Kong) to explore a career in Trading. While at these firms, he rotated through various asset coverage teams, including Cash Equity, Delta One, Rates, and Equity Derivatives, which led to a comprehensive understanding of the market. Meanwhile, he also employed quantitative analytic skills to complete multiple projects, such as research on APAC markets’ trading volume dynamics, MSCI Index arbitrage calculation, and Synthetic Indexes hedging optimization. Coming to MSCF, Malcolm aims to enhance his skills in Mathematics, Statistics and Programming. Upon graduation, he would like to pursue a career in Quantitative Trading. Outside academics and internship, Malcolm is keen on Fencing and Soccer.
