Bio

Alexia Bai graduated from the University of Waterloo in 2023, with a Bachelor of Mathematics degree in Statistics and Risk Management. During her undergraduate study, Alexia found her true calling at the intersection of numbers and real-world applications, developing an insatiable enthusiasm for computational solutions to complex quantitative problems. After an internship as an auditor at KPMG China, Alexia elevated her career by stepping into the role of data scientist at KPMG Canada, where she had a chance to reimagine investment strategies and uncover hidden opportunities in business mergers and acquisitions. Besides, she has dabbled in a kaleidoscope of academic research topics and conducted extensive data cleaning, modeling, and visualization for high-frequency data. Alexia joined the MSCF Program to further leverage her interest in both quantitative problem-solving and the global financial markets. Upon graduation, she plans to pursue a career in quantitative research, quantitative trading and asset management.
