Bio

Xinjue (Cindy) Yang graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2023 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Statistics and a minor in Mathematics. Prior to joining MSCF, she used to intern in the investment banking division at Bank of America and in the financial services enterprise program at Truist Bank. She gained valuable market insights and diverse exposure to the financial system through past internships, and she enjoyed approaching problems strategically in a fast-paced environment and collaborating with people of different backgrounds. Working in banking awakened her interest in combining financial knowledge and quantitative skills to solve real-world problems. Through her past academic experiences, she developed essential mathematical and statistical knowledge and programming skills and had experiences working in machine learning, time series analysis, and data science projects. Cindy joined MSCF to advance her quantitative skills. She is interested in interacting with complex datasets and blending structured and unstructured data with financial market insights.
