Bio

Rui (Sherry) Shao graduated from the University of Hong Kong in 2023, with a Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science and a double major in Computer Science. She interned with top asset management firms as quantitative researcher, and top internet company as machine learning engineering intern. She as well conducted multiple research projects in different area of machine learning, such as NLP, NN and CV. She is a proven team player, a talented communicator, and a leader. Having been the vice president of HKU outdoor club XGravity for 2 years, Sherry planned and led more than 10 domestic and international activities, involving over 300 people. She joined the MSCF program to strengthen her quantitative skills and further develop market insights. Upon graduation, she plans to pursue a career in quantitative research or quantitative trading.
