Bio

Joseph Horeczy graduated from McGill University in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Honors Software Engineering and a minor in Physics. Between his time at McGill and joining MSCF, he worked for over a year as a software developer at SAP (a global enterprise software vendor), further refining his programming skills by building features and implementing proofs of concept, on a cloud-based commerce storefront.

Joseph was brought into contact with the field of quantitative finance by identifying two problems that intersect at its root:

• Extensive coursework in machine learning sparked Joseph's interest in the interpretability of complex systems.
• As an avid reader of classic literature, sociology and market news, he is fascinated by how ideation translates into action.

Joseph joined the MSCF program to equip himself with the tools necessary to rigorously explore the boundary between these two problems, and is actively seeking opportunities where he would be well positioned to analyze them.
