Bio

Yongshi (Sylvia) Zhu graduated from New York University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics in 2022. During her undergraduate study, she gained a solid basis in mathematics and computer science through various rigorous courses at NYU and developed an interest in applying mathematical modeling to solve real-life financial problems. Before joining MSCF, she interned as a quantitative researcher that mainly focused on developing systematic trading strategies. In addition, she worked on optimizing and automating the trading model on the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud Platform. Yongshi joined the MSCF program to further strengthen her quantitative skills and gain a deeper understanding of the financial market. After her graduation, she plans to pursue a career in quantitative research, or quantitative trading.
