Bio

Prabhu Prasad Panda graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi in 2017 with a major in Mechanical Engineering and a minor degree in Computer Science and Engineering. His deep interest in Mathematics and programming helped him ace a number of challenging courses such as Statistics, Numerical Methods and Analysis, Data Structures and Algorithms, Machine Learning, Game Theory and Design Practices in Computer Science. He joined Goldman Sachs, Bengaluru as a Strat in the Global Markets Division right after graduation. Despite having no background in finance, he soon earned credibility with his inquisitive and hard-working nature. He worked closely with the Global Credit Desk on a diverse range of projects ranging from funding and capital optimization to Live ETF NAV computation. He got quantitative exposure to Funding Models and Pricing, Asset Liability Management, Liquidity Management, Synthetic ETFs, Bond ETFs etc. He has also been a supervisor and mentor to new hires who excelled under his guidance. After working for a period of 5 years, his thirst for knowledge led him to join the MSCF program at Carnegie Mellon University where he seeks to further refine his quantitative skills and boost his knowledge of financial markets and investments. He plans to start a career in Quantitative Research and Trading post graduation.
