Bio

Haoshu (Bruce) Lyu graduated from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2022, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and German. During his undergraduate study, Bruce gained a solid foundation in mathematics and statistics and developed a passion for the application of statistics in option research and trading. Meanwhile, he participated in the “AI+X” research project to get familiar with popular AI algorithms and improve his programming skills. During his internship as a quantitative analyst at Galaxy Derivatives, he backtested option trading strategies and conducted several pieces of research on Greeks and Volatility Analysis. Besides, he has also helped construct a SQL database for the OTC Derivatives trading team, making it much easier to access the volatility information of each target stock. Bruce has also served as an investment banking intern at Essence Securities and as a business analytics intern at China Asset Management. These experiences strengthened his leadership, teamwork, and communication skills and broadened his financial market knowledge. Bruce joined the MSCF Program to sharpen his quantitative skills and expand her knowledge in global markets. Upon graduation, he plans to pursue a career in quantitative research, quantitative trading, or asset management.
