Bio

Dhruv Baid graduated from the University of Chicago in June 2022, with Bachelor of Science/Art degrees in Computer Science, Mathematics, and Economics. After joining the Financial Markets Program in his second year, he began honing his skills in programming and deepening his analytical abilities as he started pursuing a career in Quantitative Finance. He also interned at Millennium Management as a Fixed Income and Credit Quantitative Research Intern, constructing interest rate term structures in 2021 and extracting seasonality of inflation rates in 2022. He has, through his experiences in the Singapore Armed Forces and as a Resident Assistant, demonstrated an ability to combine members’ diverse strengths and lead the team towards a common goal. His inclination to join the MSCF program was based on his desire to dive deeper into the theory behind the models he was using, as well as a keen interest in rigorously analyzing the financial markets with a focus on constructing actionable signals from the data therein.
