Bio

Brandon Bloebaum graduated from Wartburg College in 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts in Actuarial Science and three minors in Computer Science, Data Analytics, and Business. Before joining the MSCF program he completed a summer Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program and two actuarial internships at Liberty Mutual and Northwestern Mutual. During these experiences he found a passion for solving complex quantitative problems with data-driven techniques. Additionally, he developed communication skills by being a member of teams with diverse backgrounds. He had the opportunity to work with data scientists, business analysts, engineers, and actuaries across all his experiences. In the summer prior to joining MSCF he worked as an actuarial intern developing a predictive model to forecast claim frequency for four separate business lines. His work streamlined the efficiency of the code and implemented machine learning techniques to calibrate certain features of the model. His inclination to join MSCF was based on his growing passion for financial markets and finding quantitative solutions to complex problems.
