2008 Self-Study Timeline

Fall Semester 2005
-- The Middle States Self-Study Institute marks the beginning of the Self-Study process
-- Steering Committee Co-Chairs are appointed by the President and the Provost

Spring Semester 2006
-- Steering Committee members are appointed
-- Steering Committee recommends "Selected Topics" model
-- The university's senior management approves the "Selected Topics" approach
-- Work on the Document Roadmaps begins

Summer 2006
-- Document Roadmaps are finalized and sent to Middle States for approval

Fall Semester 2006
-- Middle States staff liaison visits campus
-- Self-Study Design is submitted to Middle States staff liaison
-- Middle States approves the Self-Study Design
-- Selected Topics Work Groups are formed and launched

Spring Semester 2007
-- Selected Topics Work Groups and Steering Committee continue work on Self-Study Report
-- A first draft of the compiled Self-Study report is sent to campus reviewers for feedback

Summer 2007
-- Selected Topics Work Groups and Steering Committee continue work on Self-Study Report
-- A second draft of the compiled Self-Study report is sent to campus reviewers for feedback

Fall Semester 2007
-- Evaluation Team Chair makes a preliminary visit to campus
-- The Self-Study Report (draft) is made public to the campus
-- Campus reviews and provides feedback on the Self-Study Report
-- Campus feedback is incorporated into the Self-Study Report
-- The Self-Study Report is finalized 

Spring Semester 2008
-- The Self-Study Report and supporting documentation are submitted to Middle States and the Evaluation Team
-- The Evaluation Team visits campus (February 24-27)
