Ozdoganlar & Filiz Receive 2011 ASME Blackall Machine Tool and Gage Award

Associate Professor Burak Ozdoganlar and his Ph.D. student, Sinan Filiz, have been selected for the ASME Blackall Machine Tool and Gage Award for their two-part paper entitled "A model for Bending, Torsional, and Axial Vibrations of Micro-and Macro-Drills Including Actual Drill Geometry—Part I: Model Development and Numerical Solution, and Part II: Model Validation and Application."  Professor Ozdoganlar and Sinan will receive an honorarium and plaque at a formal presentation during the ASME 2011 International Manufacturing Science and Engineering Conference June 13-17, 2011 at the Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon.  Please join the department in congratulating Professor Ozdoganlar and Sinan on recieving this prestigious award.
