Bio

Raymond joined CTTEC in July of 2021. He is a Licensing Manager working with various departments in the School of Computer Science, and his wide ranging responsibilities include meeting with faculty and research teams to discuss licensing and commercialization strategies, and drafting and negotiating technology transfer-related agreements.

Prior to joining CTTEC, Raymond has spent over 20 years at Carnegie Mellon University in various roles. His previous responsibilities have ranged from being the Software License Manager for the Global Campus, to leading a technical team to support the Doha Qatar campus. Raymond has provided consultation and support for almost everything from export compliance to negotiating licensing that has saved the University millions of dollars.

Raymond majored in the Computer Science Bachelor of Science program at Drexel University. Raymond received acclaim from his peers for leading by listening, while attending the Educause Management Institute. He has represented Carnegie Mellon University by speaking at licensing conferences. At home you will find Raymond very busy with his family consisting of his wife and three school age children. The Taylor family can usually be found on a bike trail in the North Hills, spending time with their congregation or traveling to visit the beauty of the outdoors.
