Clear Web Browser Cache
For steps to clear old information from your cache, select your web browser.
Internet Explorer 8+
- Launch Internet Explorer.
- Click the Tools menu and select Delete browsing history.
- Uncheck all options.
- Check Temporary Internet Files only.
- Click Delete.
- Click OK to close Internet Options.
- Try to access the Internet again.
Internet Explorer 7 & 6
- Launch Internet Explorer.
- Click the Tools menu and select Internet Options.
- Choose the General tab.
- Under Browsing history, click Delete.
- Next to Temporary Internet Files, click Delete files.
- Click Close, and then click OK to exit.
- Try to access the Internet again.
Safari 5.1+
- Launch Safari and do one of the following:
- Safari for Windows - Click Edit > Empty Cache. (If the Edit menu is not visible, click the gear symbol in the top right corner and choose Show Menu Bar.)
- Safari for Mac - Click Safari > Reset Safari.
- Check Remove all website data and then click Reset.
- Try to access the Internet again.
Firefox 12
- Launch Firefox.
- Click the Tools menu and select Clear Recent History.
- Expand the Details and check Cache (uncheck others you may not want to remove).
- Click OK.
- Try to access the Internet again.
Chrome
- Click the wrench icon on the browser toolbar.
- Select Tools.
- Select Clear browsing data.
- In the dialog that appears, select Empty Cache.
- Use the menu at the top and select beginning of time to delete everything.
- Click Clear browsing data.
- Try to access the Internet again.
