ChemKits: The Lending Library of Science Classroom Kits

ChemKits is a library of classroom kits for use in grades 4-12. The kits are designed to help middle school and high school teachers bring science, technology, engineering, and math into their classrooms in a fun and exciting way. Lesson plans and student activity sheets for each classroom kit can be downloaded. Kits contain all of the necessary materials for a teacher-led science experiment and lesson, and are available free of charge from the lending library. Kits consist of one set of teacher materials and twelve sets of student materials, which can be used comfortably in classrooms of up to 40 students. Each kit fulfills one or more of the Pennsylvania Common Core standards as outlined by the Pennsylvania Department of Education and the Next Generation standards (these are noted in kit materials).

How to Borrow a Classroom Kit

• First, read and agree to our Terms of Use.
• After agreeing to our Terms of Use, you will automatically be directed to a listing of our classroom kits. On this page you can download lesson plans and student activity sheets for each kit.
• Check our calendar of availability for dates that kits can be borrowed.
• Submit a request form for the kits you would like to borrow.
  Please make the reservation not less than two weeks in advance of the date you would like to check out the kit to give us time to refill the kit and to make arrangements for pick-up/drop off of the kit.
