Getting Ready for 2020 Recruitment

Graduation is a time of reflection, celebration and anticipation of the future. There is so much excitement at this time of the year that it is hard not to get caught up in it. Families come from all around the world to mark this accomplishment with their Tepper MBA.

For the MBA Admissions team, our focus shifts full steam ahead to the next recruiting cycle. Yes, well before the new class arrives in August, we are planning activities to recruit the class arriving in fall 2020.

As part of our planning, we have decided to change our essay. The focus of the new essay will be to learn more about what you will contribute to the Tepper community as an MBA student. As the smallest of the top 20 MBA programs, it is important that we understand what each applicant sees as their ability to make a difference.

One of the most exciting things about being a student at Tepper is that even though were are small, there isn’t one “Tepper type.” It’s easy to make an impact here. As we review applications, we expect to see candidates qualified to handle the academics and who have taken the time to think through possible career opportunities. We look forward to learning about how each person’s experiences inform their perspective and how they will make their mark at the Tepper School.

We begin our recruiting cycle by coming to you and we love it! We make our way across the United States as well as South America, Europe, India, and East Asia to meet you and share information about the Tepper MBA program. At most events, admission officers are joined by alumni who are excited to share their experience with you.

Like our graduating MBAs, we look forward to the months ahead. For us, it means the start of a new admission cycle and getting to know candidates who will ultimately join us in Pittsburgh to celebrate the start of their MBA journey. We look forward to meeting you!
